Appalachian football played its first home game of the season in a match against the Montana Grizzlies on Saturday September 9. The team was greeted with strong enthusiasm from the fans and the stadium was filled despite the rain. The Mountaineers were the first to score and continued to play exceptionally into the game, eventually emerging victorious with a score of 35-27.
