Marion hosted its annual Liver Mush Festival downtown on Friday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Liver mush is a traditional Southern food made of pig liver, head parts and cornmeal. It is often served on a bun, as in this case, and can be topped with mayonnaise, mustard or grape jelly. Hundreds gathered to eat free liver mush sandwiches courtesy of Hunter’s Liver Mush, listen to live music and more.
