Two Appalachian State students have been jailed after an altercation that resulted in one of the student being stabbed.
According to a Boone Police Department press release, police responded to a report at 523 Blowing Rock Road. Officers found 22-year-old Mitchell Gray Preston, who was then transported to Watauga Medical Center for treatment of a stab wound.
Arianna Marie Zertuche, 21, was charged with misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon and was transported to the Watauga County Detention Facility.
Preston was charged with misdemeanor assault on a female as a result of what the press release calls “actions during a domestic dispute.” He was also moved to Watauga County Detention Facility.
