Wednesday just before 9 p.m., Boone police responded to a medical call at 1469 W. King Street in reference to a male suffering a medical emergency.
The responders initiated emergency medical care, and the victim died after being transported to Watauga Medical Center.
Noah Tuck Overbey, 20, was transferred to the custody of the medical examiner for an autopsy and toxicological testing.
The cause of death is not yet known, and there are no indications that the death is suspicious.
