Police respond to intoxicated person on AppalCART

University Police responded to a non-student passed out on AppalCART’s red route bus around 8:30 p.m. at the traffic circle near the library.

Lieutenant Darrin Tolbert said the subject was believed to be intoxicated and have medical issues, and was sent to Watauga Medical Center for medical evaluation.

University Police handle intoxicated people on Appalachian property two to three times a day,” Tolbert said.
