Boone Police responded to two alleged sexual assaults at a Queen Street residence on Friday at approximately 10 p.m., according to a police statement sent out to Appalachian State University students via email.
Two suspects – David Lee Weber, 22, and Jose Cuevas, 21 – were arrested in connection to the assaults. The two are held on $175,000 and &150,000 secured bonds, respectively.
According to the email, Weber has been arrested on two counts of second degree forcible rape and two counts of assault by strangulation. Cuevas was arrested on two counts of second degree forcible rape. Both have a court date scheduled for Oct. 29.
Both men were acquaintances of the victims, according to the email.
