Appalachian State University’s next chancellor may be introduced Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. by the University of North Carolina Board of Governors and system President Tom Ross in Chapel Hill at the Spangler Center.
The board will hold a vote on the chancellor based on the two candidates chosen by the search committee in February to determine whether or not they are appointed to the post.
“It’s a special meeting that’s been called for the purpose of voting on the new chancellor,” Appalachian Board of Trustees Chair Michael Steinback said.
Steinback said if the Board of Governors confirm the chancellor, the search will be over.
UPDATE: The next chancellor will be on Appalachian’s campus Thursday at 10 a.m. in Rivers Street Cafe in Central Dining Hall, according to an ASUINFO email. The purpose of the appearance is to give brief remarks and meet with members of the campus.
