Categories:

This fall brought bright foliage, festivals and activities to the High Country. Tourists poured into Boone and the surrounding areas to get a glimpse of the colorful views and partake in fall activities.

Last year, Hurricane Helene devastated the area, causing cancellations of fall festivals and activities and a lack of fall tourism. This fall season brought a revival of events and attractions for the fall.

The Valle Country Fair and Woolly Worm Festival brought back High Country traditions and gave local businesses an opportunity to attract

customers.

The Blue Ridge Parkway was a popular destination for hikes, scenic drives and fall views. Visitors and locals were drawn to the Blue Ridge Parkway for its hikes, scenic drives and fall views.

App State’s campus did not fall short of autumn views, as colorful foliage surrounded campus and students enjoyed the cool fall weather and crunching leaves.
