The Pottery Lot presents “Pottery Night Out” from 6-8 p.m. For $40, join them for independent handbuilding — an open studio pottery session with no formal guidelines. All tools and resources are provided with entry.
Tuesday, Jan. 20
Live music at The Beacon with Belleville Rendezvous
Belleville Rendezvous will be performing from 6-8 p.m. at The Beacon. Participants can enjoy drinks, dinner and a jazz setlist from Belleville Rendezvous.
Wednesday, Jan. 21
The annual winter club expo is in full swing from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first and second floors of Plemmons Student Union. Over 200 of App State’s clubs and organizations come together to display a plethora of opportunities for students to get involved on campus, with many offering free swag to students.
Thursday, Jan. 22
From 12-2 p.m. in the Career Development Center, students are encouraged to define their career goals in a vision board. All resources will be provided with free food being offered.
Friday, Jan. 23
Django Reinhardt Birthday Celebration with The Page Brothers
Jazz artist Django Reinhardt will be celebrated with an annual birthday tribute concert from The Page Brothers Band. The Appalachian Theatre of the High Country will host the duo from 7:30-9:30 p.m., offering standard tickets for $22 and student tickets for $10.
Saturday, Jan. 24
The Appalachian Theatre will be holding two showings of “The Princess Bride,” a classic 80s fairytale about a man who must rescue the love of his life from marrying an evil prince. The first show runs from 2-3:40 p.m., and the second from 5:30-7 p.m., with free general admission for both.
