A female student reported that she was sexually assaulted in Cone Hall on Saturday, Aug. 19, according to a safety report.
According to the report the suspect allegedly gained access to the hall on the pretext of charging his cell phone. The suspect is not affiliated with Appalachian State University.
According to the report University Police have opened an investigation into the incident.
