Field hockey suffers scoreless match

The ASU field hockey team lost its NorPac match against Radford Sunday afternoon, 2-0. 

The Mountaineers attempted eight goals, none of which were able to give ASU a point. 

It only took eight minutes of the game for Radford to score.

 

Sophomore Jessi Stuart led the Mountaineers with four shots, two of which were on goal, while Dana Wetmore and Jordyn Warren each had one shot on goal.

Goalkeeper Sarah Anderson suffered the loss in the net, while making five saves on the afternoon.

With the loss the Apps fall 3-12 overall on the season and 0-6 in the NorPac.

Appalachian will return to Boone for its final home match of the 2012 season.

The Mountaineers will take on Liberty at Kidd Brewer Stadium Friday. The match is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
